Empathetic gossip
They’re fakeIt may be hard for them to confront people with how they really feel so they conceal it as a coping mechanism.
They’re standoffishPerhaps their social anxiety is making them second guess and overthink every social interaction. So instead they just keep to themselves to to feel safe.
They’re flakeyIt may be that their mental health, family life, or other circumstances are hindering their ability to fully show up for others in a reliable way. They’re barely showing up for themselves.
They’re rudeThey might just be so preoccupied with their own insecurities, anxieties, and concerns that they aren’t able to see how their actions affect others.
They’re toxicThey’re most likely in pain and projecting it onto the people around them. The pain they feel is starting to bleed out to others. They don’t like it either.

They’re weirdThey aren’t afraid to be exactly who they are, even if it isn’t conventional. The same people who criticize them also secretly envy their ability to be so unapologetically themselves. That’s a hard thing to do these days.
